Grant Requirements.
To qualify, L.C. Renal Alliance grant recipients must have a child under age 24 with a diagnosis of Nephrotic Syndrome, including Minimal Change Disease, Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis, and Membranous Nephropathy. Additionally, consideration will be given to children under age 24 who are actively receiving Peritoneal Dialysis or Hemodialysis.
L.C. Renal Alliance’s direct patient grants are discretionary based on patient/family needs and available funds. Each application is carefully and individually considered by each member of our board and subsequently submitted for a vote.
Although not required for consideration as a grant recipient, we request and encourage you to share your story about your child’s diagnosis and journey with kidney disease to help us raise awareness. Sharing our personal story has helped tremendously spread awareness – your story will, too. If you choose to share your story, please simply select the box at the end of the application, allowing us to use your story for publication on our website and social media in an effort to spread awareness and generate future donations to continue funding our program(s) for children and families like yours, affected by kidney diseases.
*Please be advised - documentation regarding the patient's diagnosis and/or expenses may be required to facilitate board decisions.
